Only 5 miles from the Pacific Ocean
and only 45 minutes from Los Angeles, the Shalom Institute offers
expanding facilities that include an Olympic-size swimming pool, two
outdoor amphitheaters, a conference center, beautiful new adult housing,
retreat house, an archery field, a sports field, miles of hiking trails,
two waterfalls, a nature center, dining hall, arts and crafts, and much
more. One of the highlights is the challenging ropes course that includes
two zip-lines, a climbing wall, rock climbing and rappelling
center, and more. |

Camp Setting- Set on a ridge of the
Santa Monica Mountains, the camp is shaded luxuriously by huge
sycamore and oak trees. A creek runs through the length of camp.
Extensive trail lend to beautiful views.

Guest Capacity- Maximum 200 beds.
14 cabins each with 12 beds, hotel style rooms for 35.

Camp Amenities- High and low ropes
course, climbing tower, archery range and swimming pool.

Comments- This camp is great for
teaching many of the field science courses, including riparian
ecology, birds of prey, and botany. The camp has a quaint feeling,
welcoming both large and small groups.
